Christian Triand, DMD

Christian Triand, DMD, is the newest dentist at Stockton Dental Center and is honored to continue the tradition of compassionate, high-quality dentistry established by Dr. Stephen Petras. Before earning his dental degree from Midwestern University, Dr. Triand completed his undergraduate studies at Marquette University.

Immediately following graduation, Dr. Triand was invited to return to Midwestern as a faculty member, teaching first-year dental students in their laboratory coursework. He was the youngest dentist among his colleagues entrusted with this responsibility – an honor he credits to his involvement as an ADCFP Fellow during his graduate studies.

Dr. Triand has devoted most of his career to public health dentistry, most recently serving a remote Native American tribe in northwest Washington state – well known in popular culture from the Twilight film series. Prior to his arrival, the community had gone years without stable access to a full-time dentist. Dr. Triand provided comprehensive care, updated clinical systems, and helped improve long-term access to treatment for the tribe’s families.

Dr. Triand has volunteered with the Chicago Dental Society to provide free dental care to underserved Illinois residents and has participated in humanitarian dental missions in Guatemala, delivering essential care to communities with little or no access to dentistry. He has been active in professional organizations such as the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Like Dr. Petras, he is a strong believer in advanced continuing education and continually pursues training that allows him to broaden the services available to patients at Stockton Dental Center. Outside the office, Dr. Triand and his wife, Manda, care for their Husky–Malamute mix – the smallest husky you’ll ever meet but one who pulls on walks like a full-blown sled dog. Family is the center of his life, and he spends most of his free time with loved ones. His hobbies include hiking, weightlifting, and, admittedly, drinking lots (and lots) of coffee. Dr. Triand’s mission is to provide exceptional care marked by the warmth and honesty he would give his own family. He hopes every patient feels they can speak to him as comfortably as they would a brother, son, or uncle. He is deeply committed to building genuine, lasting relationships within the community and looks forward to serving families – and future generations – at Stockton Dental Center.
